Using the Spelling Helper

If you're not sure how to spell a city name, or you received a warning message when entering the full city name and state abbreviation, try using the Spelling Helper. The Spelling Helper pick list is invoked by typing the first two or more letters of the city, a comma, and the two-letter state abbreviation, and then attempting to run the route.

Examples:

chi,il

los ang, ca

If only one city starts with the given characters, it will be entered automatically into the active route.

If multiple cities start with the same given characters, or if a city has multiple ZIP codes, a warning message will alert you to this fact. All database matches will be displayed in a drop-down listbox. Highlight the city or ZIP code that you wish to select, and now rerun the route.

If you enter just the two-letter state abbreviation, the listbox will show every listing within that state, including truck stops and highway junctions.
