The Optimization Option in the Route Entry page reorders all the stops currently in that page in order to minimize the total time (Practical routing), total distance (Shortest routing), total toll distance (Toll-discouraged routing), or distance of the National Network (National Network routing). In other words, resequencing a route gives you the optimal order of stops for your route, keeping the origin the same.
After entering your stops, highlight a routing choice from the drop-down listbox. The Destination Fixed option keeps both the origin and destination in the same positions. If you want the current destination to be included in the resequencing, click on Route Through All.
To optimize your route, click the Optimize button. Resequencing cannot be undone.
NOTE: RESEQUENCING A ROUTE ALSO RUNS THAT ROUTE.
