NOTE: You must use a comma between city and state when entering stops!
Example: new york, ny
When you first log into eMILER, the Route Entry page is displayed. This page is where you enter your stops and generate routes.
To generate distances and times for a route, you must first specify an origin and at least one stop in the Location fields. eMILER will always consider the first stop listed in the route entry window to be the origin of the route, and the last stop to be the destination. You may enter up to 10 stops in addition to the Origin. (To have eMILER determine the optimal order of stops, use the Route Optimization feature.)
To navigate from one Location field to another, you can either use the <TAB> key or point-and-click your mouse inside the field.
Using the drop-down listboxes in this page, you can also alter the Routing Type and Distances In settings.
Before running a route, you must choose between the Use Default Location and Provide Location Picklist options.
To generate the route, click on the Run button. Distance and time estimates will appear to the right of each stop on the list as they are calculated for each route segment.
Click the Clear button at any time to empty the data entry fields and enter a new route.
Click the Delete All button at any time to empty the data entry fields and enter a new route. To delete one or more locations without clearing the whole route, place a check mark (click the box) in the Delete column next to each location you wish to eliminate, then click the Delete button.
Once you have run a route, the Route Map, Directions, State Mileage, and Summary pages all become active.
