Entering 5-digit ZIP Codes

Entering any valid 5-digit ZIP code in the Route Entry page will cause eMILER to search for the corresponding city and state name and display it in the stop list next to that ZIP code.

If you enter 60609, eMILER will return 60609 Chicago, IL, Cook

(If you are unsure of a city’s full ZIP code, use the ZIP Code Helper.)

After you run your route, eMILER will return the corresponding name of the city or town. The corresponding county name will also be returned.

When you run a route, a pick list will be provided for any city name you entered that has multiple ZIP codes assigned to it if Provide Location Picklist is selected (above the stop list). A warning message will alert you that there are multiple ZIP codes. Choose the ZIP you wish to enter from the picklist, and rerun the route.

Mexican place names do not have postal codes. Canadian place names can only be entered as the city name and province abbreviation, and Mexican place names can only be entered using the city name and country abbreviation (MX).
